Feedback series: Using feedback from funders

The feedback we really want is a big check. But how can we make the most of what funders are telling us whether they fund us or not?

Funders are important partners in our work and funder feedback is invaluable even though sometimes it’s hard to hear.

Last week on Coffee Time, we talked about:

  • How we can use the feedback they give us to build better programs and better grant applications
  • How to use feedback as data
  • Designing a funding program that incorporates learning

About Pieta Blakely

I help mission-based organizations measure their impact so that they can do what they do well. I started my nonprofit career as a teacher in workforce development and adult basic education. It was important work and I was worried that we didn’t really know if we were doing it well. In the process of trying to answer that question, I got a Masters in Education and a PhD in Social Policy, and became an evaluator.
